Htanbinchaung salt farm is located in Paung Township , Kyaikkhami, Setse, Pint and Karuppi salt farms in Thanbyuzayat Township, and Hnitkayin and Palaikee salt farms in Ye Township. It is an organic mineral and produced by local people who work at salt farm. Its also popular for production of quality salt in successive eras. Salt farms create job opportunities for local people. Mon State produces some 40,000 tons of salt on a yearly basis.
